in May students participated in the spring musical this was an event where we can show our talent for music and song the show was called hello Sunset and had the word son in the lyrics or title those School songs expanded the idea of happiness and brightness and lyrical context songs included the Sesame Street theme song My Girl You Are My Sunshine Here Comes the Sun Mr Blue Sky turn up the sunshine find golden hour Sunshine diamonds firework cover me in sunshine I can see clearly now over the rainbow and dancing in the street this show was a celebration of creativity teamwork and a joy of performing able to all involved especially Miss Cassie and I was there and it was so fun and May and June feel they took place morning events included relay races tug of war football for all flag football kickball badminton volleyball soccer and more students gave it their all showing teamwork sportsmanship and some serious speed a big shout out to Mr Khan Mr dibs and Mrs Lawrence because they set up the station and they kept everything running smoothly and now the Spotlight shifts to mussina who's bringing us the feature story get ready for something special our school put on the plate Aladdin it was a magical Adventure brought to life on May 29th and May 30th with colorful costume Katy songs and great acting the stage surely came became alive from the bustling streets of agrava to the genie funny moments ever seen was was full of excitements the casting crew worked super hard it all paid off with the big Applause and a lot of smiles a huge thing you to miss cattle and our teacher and staff for guiding the cast every step of the way and now let's hear from Hunter so we can catch up with the Nia wolves the a wolves dominate 187 in a playoff opener in a commanding performance the go for wolves to feed 187 with a final score of 38 to 19 the game started off neck-to-neck but 104 wolves quickly took control showcasing their offense defeating 187 eel Rodriguez of 705 fled the way scoring throughout the game 104 wolves maintain their lead and secured a convincing victory in the playoff opener wins sets a strong tone for the rest of the playoffs as 104 wolves look to continue their winning ways and advanced uh further toward their Championship aspiration welcome to teacher Spotlight where we shine a light on the amazing things our teachers are up to today we're featuring our assistant principal Moscato she played a huge role in putting together the school play now let's turn it over to Kim and Madison who are standing by with special interview about the magic behind a play what made you choose Aladdin for just your school play you know there was a couple of reasons first of all I'm a big Disney fan uh we did Beauty and the Beast the first year that I took over the play again and chocolate and the uh Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yes we did Willy Wonka last year even though that that's not Disney but um this year I was trying to look for play that had a lot of cast members um because I hate Turning Away kids doing the play um but unfortunately sometimes we have to do that but Aladdin had a nice size cast that um I can get a lot more kids in oh what was the most challenging part of doing the school play this year um I think trying to make sure that I had enough kids to cast um you know 1 of the reasons why I chose this play is because it had a larger cast but at the same time I still had so many kids um audition so the most challenging part is always making sure that you're picking the right cast um and it's hard letting down people that want to be in the show and that we're not able to do everybody um I think that's the most challenging part thank you now let's check out some seeds from the play now Mina who was putting teachers on the spot to see if they know the lyrics to the song I'm going to sing a lyric and then you have to finish it okay I got the sunshine in my pocket I know this I know this song something I got my something good in my feet or my soul good Rhythm I don't know it's so okay so I'm so I'm going to say a lyric and then you're going to have to finish it hey what if I don't know it then you see it or not okay I got that sunshine in my pocket I got that sunshine in my pocket I don't know okay so I'm going to say a lyric and then you're going to have to finish it okay I'm really bad at this but go ahead I got this sunshine in my pocket I got the good soul in my feet
